rclone ServerMan
A private, single-user backup tool. It is not a public service and cannot be signed up for.
What it does
This app is the Google sign-in identity used by rclone, an open-source file sync program, running on its owner's own home server. It lets that one person's rclone copy encrypted backup files into their own Google Drive and read them back when a restore is needed.
Who uses it
Only the owner of the Google account it was set up for. It does not access anyone else's data, and nobody else is expected or able to use it in any meaningful way.
How Google data is used
- It reads and writes files in the owner's own Google Drive, for backup and restore only.
- Files are encrypted on the owner's server before they are uploaded.
- The sign-in token stays on the owner's server. Nothing is sent to any other party.
